Discover this rare Yema Navygraf II Quartz diver from the early 1980s — a unique French tool watch featuring a bold square steel case, bakelite bezel, and lockable bezel system operated via a pusher at 8 o’clock. Recently fitted with a new ESA 947.111 Swiss quartz movement, it combines iconic vintage design with modern precision.
Unusual Dial & Propeller Symbol
This version stands out with a modern YEMA logo, a beige straight seconds hand, and a mysterious propeller pictogram at 6 o'clock. This symbol is also seen on some Superman models. Despite extensive research, its exact origin remains unknown. It's possible that these dials were specially produced for a diving club or organization. If you recognize it, feel free to reach out!
Bezel Lock & Functionality
The bidirectional bakelite bezel is controlled by a clever lock system: press the pusher at 8 o’clock to rotate, then release to lock. The crown screws down smoothly and maintains the case’s water resistance in daily use. The watch has been tested under water (non-pressurized) and no leakage was observed when the crown is securely screwed. A pressure test is still recommended before any diving use.
